Rally in Defending Freedom of Association

The Hong Kong Police Force had suggested to The Secretary for Security that the Hong Kong National Party should be banned from operating using the Societies Ordinance on the grounds of national and public security. This violates The Basic Law, The International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and The Hong Kong Bill of Rights Ordinance. This was undoubtedly a suppression of Hong Kong people’s freedom of association and political rights.

In this regard, the Hong Kong University Students’ Union will participate in the assembly organised by “Civil Human Rights Front” today, we invite all of you to come and join the assembly against the suppression. The details of the assembly are as follows:

Date: 21st July
Time: 2:00 p.m.
Venue: Luard Road, Wan Chai to Police Headquarters, No. 1 Arsenal Street, Wan Chai
