Recruitment of Committee Members – Current Affairs Committee and University Affairs Committee

Since the Current Affairs Committee and University Affairs Committee will appoint new committee members in the first Ordinary Union Council Meeting, we hope to recruit students who are interested in joining the committees and share our aspirations.

The Current Affairs Committee (CAC) will be mainly responsible for promoting current affairs and enhancing social awareness to encourage discussion on current affairs among our members. Besides, CAC will publish statements on different topics such that students and the general public may know more about the stance of HKUSU.

The University Affairs Committee (UAC) will be responsible for the discussion of student welfare, regular communication with student representatives of various university committees and publicise information regarding university committees, academic development, and hall-college development. Meanwhile, UAC will issue statements and take other actions in response to university affairs, as well as reflecting opinions regarding campus facilities to the university authorities.

CAC and UAC have eight and seven seats for Full Members of HKUSU respectively. We welcome all Full Members to compete for the seats.

The tea gatherings for recruitment of committee members for the Current Affairs Committee and the University Affairs Committee were successfully held. Students who are interested to join the committees shall fill in the online forms below and attend the first Ordinary Union Council Meeting.
