Sai Wan Historical and Heritage Tour

The Western District is the earliest developed district since Hong Kong’s colonial establishment, and Sai Ying Pun is also one of the oldest places in Hong Kong. More than a hundred years ago, the British army built military camps and forts in the West Point area. As such, that area was named as “Sai Ying Pun“. The Western District is like a miniature of Hong Kong history, as many heritages which have been long-standing since colonial establishment can still be found. In order to give students a better understanding of local history, the University of Hong Kong Student Union will organise the “Sai Wan Historical and Heritage Tour“.
